“Greek philosopher Plato once said,” Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul”. Anyone who has ever had a favorite song can say with certainly that Plato was correct. A song can be meaningful to the listener for a number of reasons. One of my favorite songs is “Blame It on Bad Luck” by the band Bayside. Bayside is a band from Queens, New York who’s sound falls somewhere between punk and alternative rock. Bayside is known for their moody and descriptive lyrics and “Blame It on Bad Luck” is an excellent example of that. “Blame It on Bad Luck” is not a song that would have mass appeal, but anyone who had to go through tough times growing up will be able to resonate with the song.”
